Crews tackle trio of car fires overnight

Firefighters were called to three different car fires last night across Sheffield and Rotherham.

Each of the three fires were started deliberately – with the first one being on Sheffield Road, Tinsley, at 11.17pm yesterday (Wednesday 24 April).

It was dealt with by a crew from Parkway by 11.52pm who found the car, an Audi A8, well alight upon their arrival.

The second, a Skoda Octavia, was on Abbeyfield Road, Sheffield, at 3.04am today (Thursday 25 April) and was dealt with by firefighters from Elm Lane by 3.28am.

The same Elm Lane crew then attended the third incident, a Ford Mondeo well alight on Victoria Street, Masborough at 4.43am.

That was dealt with by 5.19am.
