Firefighters from Rotherham, Maltby, Parkway and Aston Park were called to a pub fire on Wellgate, Rotherham, in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 10 April).
The call, which came in at 3.46am, was to to the now derelict Masons Arms – with fire on the first floor, second floor and in the roof.
Crews spent over four hours tackling the blaze and breathing apparatus wearers were committed into the building to ensure nobody was inside.
The turntable ladder from Parkway was also used to tackle the fire from above.
Firefighters left the scene at around 8.30am – at which point an investigation into the cause of the fire began.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
