Firefighters from Cudworth were called to a house on Varney Road, Wath-upon-Dearne, last night (Monday 8 April) after a bonfire had reportedly gotten out of control.
Upon arrival, following the call at 10.39pm, the crew found that a small bonfire in a burner had spread to other flammable items closeby and, subsequently, the outside of the house.
Approximately 6 metres of facias and guttering were damaged – as well as one fence panel and one double glazed window unit.
Firefighters ensured the fire was completely out before leaving the scene at around 11.40pm.
