Derelict building goes up in flames

On Thursday 11 May at 12:07am, crews from Thorne, Doncaster and Parkway were called to an incident on King Edward Road, Thorne in Doncaster.

On arrival, they found a two storey derelict building well alight. Using hose reels they tackled the blaze which spread to a neighbouring property. Precautionary measures were taken to evacuate a row of terraced houses on the street, and firefighters continued to tackle the flames with the assistance of Humberside Fire and Rescue Service.

At 10:11am our crews finished damping down at the scene and a fire investigation will shortly follow.
