An elderly man has been led to safety by firefighters following a fire at his bungalow on Hurley Croft in Brampton Bierlow, Rotherham.
A fire crew from Dearne station were called to the fire at 4:50am on Friday morning. The man (70’s) was still inside the property when crews arrived. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus led the man safely outside.
A chip pan was the cause of the fire.
The man was suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Firefighters left the scene at 5:35am.
