Sparks from a battery caused a fire at an industrial premises in Rotherham on Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the business on Braithwell Way, Hellaby after the sparks caused an explosive reaction with a chemical solution being used as part of an industrial process.
The firm’s staff put out the blaze using dry powder extinguishers before firefighters put a cordon in place and made the scene safe.
The incident happened just before midday and was tackled by crews from Aston, Maltby and Rotherham.
