A woman in her 70s was given oxygen by fire crews after a cooker caught fire in Barnsley.

Tankersley, Cudworth and Barnsley firefighters attended the incident on High Street, Worsborough at aroun 10.30am on Thursday.

The woman was given a precautionary check up by paramedics at the scene.

Crews used specialist equipment to ventilate the property following the fire.
