Six fire engines have responded to a fire involving a shop (believed to be disused) on Chapel Walk in Sheffield city centre.

Firefighters were called to the blaze just before 3pm on Saturday, but are now damping down and beginning to scale back.

No one was hurt in the incident, but the four storey building is very badly damaged.

Fargate and High Street remain closed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
