Three fire crews spent two hours tackling a fire on allotments in Barnsley.

The blaze broke out at 10pm on Monday (20 November) on Smithies Lane and involved several allotment sheds which were well alight.

Cudworth, Barnsley and Tankersley firefighters tackled the incident using hose reels.

A number of small gas cylinders were also involved in the fire, which it is thought was started deliberately.
