Firefighters are asking members of the public to take care with bonfires, after a single gust of wind ignited conifers in Sheffield.
Rivelin firefighters were called to tackle the blaze on Halliwell Close at around 12.45pm.
They used hose reels to tackle the fire and left the scene just before 1.30pm.
To avoid something like this happening to you, site garden fires well away from buildings, sheds or trees. Never leave them unattended and don’t use petrol or other accelerants to get them going.
If you can, compost your garden rubbish instead.
