A halogen lamp left too close to curtains sparked a house fire in Doncaster.

The blaze on Lowfield Road, Wheatley Hills started at around 8.30pm on Friday.

The fire was out when Doncaster firefighters arrived on the scene.

A woman who lived in the house was unharmed and firefighters ventilated the smoke logged property.
