Information for parents on board bus involved in Handsworth collision

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue’s training centre on Beaver Hill Road, Sheffield is being used as a reception centre for children who were on board a bus involved in a road traffic collision on Wednesday morning.

Parents who believe their children were on board the bus, which collided with a building on Handsworth Road, should visit the centre on Beaver Hill Road to collect their children if required. The centre’s address is:

Fire engines from Parkway, Central and Dearne fire stations responded to the incident at around 7.50am on Wednesday morning. It’s thought that around 25 children were on board the bus at the time of the collision. A small number of children have suffered minor injuries, but most are unharmed.
