Firefighters were called to a house fire on Vickers road, Firth Park in Sheffield at 4.21pm on Saturday after smoke alarms alerted the occupiers to a fire in the kitchen.

The fire was started by the oven extractor fan and the fire crews were able to isolate the electrics and extinguish the fire.

Smoke alarms were able to alert the occupants who were all able to safely evacuate the property.
