Firefighters from Cudworth were called to Acorn Way, Grimethorpe, at 7.12pm. Upon arrival they found a pile of pallets and rubbish well alight in a park. This was dealt with by 7.34pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Birley Moor were called to Gleadless Common, Sheffield, at 8.02pm. Upon arrival they found a Land Rover well alight. This was dealt with 9.26pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.
