Overnight incidents – 12/13 May

Firefighters from Birley Moor were called to Holbrook Green, Sheffield, at 7.29pm. Upon arrival they found a fire in some bushes. This was dealt with by 8.04pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Edlington were called to Warmsworth Road, Balby, at 8.53m. Upon arrival they found two separate fires involving fly tipped rubbish. The first was in a pile on the floor, the second in a large industrial skip. This was extinguished by 10.52pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Barnsley were called to Windermere Road, Barnsley, at 9.04pm. Upon arrival they found a small plastic shed well alight. It is thought this fire had spread from a cardboard bin, which was set alight accidentally by a discarded cigarette. It was dealt with by 10.23pm.

Firefighters from Birley Moor were called to Waterthorpe Rise, Sheffield, at 9.20pm. Upon arrival they found a tree and bush on fire in somebody’s garden. This is thought to have been started deliberately and was dealt with by 9.53pm.

Firefighters from Doncaster were called to Briar Road, Armthorpe, at 9.50pm. Upon arrival they found a small fire in a brazier had spread to some nearby trees. This was dealt with 10.23pm.

Firefighters from Barnsley were called to Woodstock Road, Barnsley, at 10.26pm. Upon arrival they found a rubbish fire next to Tinkers Pond. This was extinguished by 10.52pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.
