Overnight incidents 14/15 July

At 07:57pm last night (14 July), crews Cudworth, Barnsley and Penistone were called to a fire on Keresforth Close in Barnsley. This was a small pile of refuse on fire in one room of the building. Firefighters left at 09:01pm and deemed the fire to have been started deliberately.

At 08:13pm last night, firefighters were called to Lambert Walk in Kendray, Barnsley. When they arrived they found tree branches that were being burnt in the garden which had spread to a plastic shed. The fire had caused damage to the shed but luckily nobody was hurt in the incident. One crew from Cudworth attended and left the scene at 09:44pm and deemed the fire to have started accidentally.

Crews were called to a derelict building fire on Grangefield Manor Road in Kiveton Park, Rotherham at 09:26pm last night. Firefighters from Maltby and Aston arrived to find a small fire, that had been started deliberately, in the void of two floors. Crews left at 10:44pm.

A 4×4 Jeep was found alight on Adwick Park Court in Adwick Le Street, Doncaster last night at 10:50pm. One crew from Adwick attended and left the scene at 11:39pm, stating the fire had started deliberately.

A bush had accidentally caught fire at a property in Watkinson Gardens, Sheffield at 00:21am today (15 July). One crew from Birley Moor was called to the incident. The bush had fairy lights strung in it, which crews believe had accidentally caused the fire. They left the scene at 01:23am.
