Firefighters from Elm Lane were called to Kimberworth Park Road, Rotherham, at 7.24pm. Upon arrival they found a controlled burn in the back garden of a property. The crew in attendance made a decision to extinguish this fire as the bonfire involved carpets, which were giving off thick and acrid smoke. This was dealt with by 7.47pm.

Firefighters from Dearne were called to Aldam House Lane, Wombwell, at 2.51am. Upon arrival they found a rubbish fire in the woods. This was dealt with by 3.22am and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Birley Moor were called to Orgreave Place, Sheffield, at 5.22am. Upon arrival they found a large amount of fly tipped waste on fire. This was dealt with by 5.55am.
