Overnight incidents 18/19 January 2021

Seven wheelie bins were deliberately set on fire at 7:40pm on Richmond Road, Sheffield. Two fire crews from Parkway and Birley Moor stations attended the incident. They came away at 8:05pm.

Three people were rescued from a flat fire at 8:35pm on Batemoor Road, Sheffield. Firefighters placed a ladder up to the window of the flat and safely rescued the three people. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Three fire crews from Cudworth, Barnsley and Tankersley stations were called out to a fire at a bungalow on Ridgeway Crescent, Carlton, Barnsley at 9:55pm. The fire was an accidental fire due to a fault on the electric supply to the property. Luckily there were no reports of any casualties. The crews left the scene at 2:25am.

Firefighters from Barnsley station were called out to an accidental rubbish fire at 11:45pm on Boulder Bridge Lane, Royston, Barnsley. The crews left the scene at 1:10am.
