Overnight incidents 18/19 July

Three fire engines were called at 8.47pm to a garage fire on Middlefield Road, Moorgate, Rotherham. Two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire which started accidentally when a garden waste bin ignited and spread to the garage. The incident had been dealt with by 9.32pm.

One fire engine attended a car fire on Everingham Crescent, Sheffield after a call was recieved at 10.11pm. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been set deliberately. The incident had been dealt with by 10.48pm.

Firefighters were called shortly after 11.15pm last night (Tuesday 18 July) to a fire involving a number of vehicles off Parkway Drive, Sheffield. At its height, 10 fire service vehicles were in attendance at this incident, including a turntable ladder. More than 50 cars and two motorbikes were involved in the fire. No one was injured. The incident had been dealt with by 1.44am and the fire is believed to have been set deliberately.
