Overnight incidents 21/22 July 2024

A car was accidentally on fire at 7:10pm on Crow Tree Bank, Thorne, Doncaster. Firefighters from Thorne station attended the incident. They left at 7:50pm.

Firefighters from Cudworth station attended a deliberate fire involving grass cuttings at 8pm on Hunningley Lane, Stairfoot, Barnsley. The crew left the scene at 8:30pm.

Three fire crews from Cudworth, Barnsley and Dearne stations were called out to a bungalow on fire at 8pm on Paddock View, Monk Bretton, Barnsley. The accidental fire is believed to have started at the external gas/electric box and spread to the roof void of the building. Luckily there were no casualties. Crews left the scene at 11:10pm.

Firefighters from Tankersley station attended an accidental vehicle fire at 9:30pm on Ryecroft Bank, Platts Common, Barnsley. The crew came away at 11:20pm.

Central firefighters were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 10pm on Beldon Road, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 10:20pm.

Firefighters from Aston station attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 12:10am on Guilthwaite Common Lane, Upper Whiston, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 1:40am.

Two wheelie bins were deliberately set on fire at 4:10am on Cricket Field Lane, Wales, Rotherham. Firefighters from Aston station attended the incident. They left at 4:20am.
