Overnight incidents 21/22 May 2025

Three fire engines attended an industrial fire within a storage yard containing scaffolding on Darnall Road, Sheffield after a call was received at 6.51pm. One hose reel was used to extend the fire which was caused accidentally. The incident had been dealt with by 7.17pm.

Three fire engines attended a house fire on Hampton Road, Sheffield after a call was received at 8.28pm. The fire was located in a bedroom on the first floor. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire and searched the building for anyone inside. The property was empty and the crews successfully extinguished the fire and ventilated the building using a positive pressure fan. The fire was caused by an oil burner which was left switched on and ignited a television. The incident had been dealt with by 9.12pm.

One fire engine attended a van fire on Birch Park Court, Hartington Close, Rotherham after a call was received at 10.29pm. The fire was located in the engine and passenger cab area and is believed to have been caused by an electrical or mechanical fault. The incident had been dealt with by 11.07pm.

Two fire engines attended a fire involving bins and fencing near Wellingtonia Drive, Campsall, Doncaster after a call was received at 2.56am. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been accidentally caused. Crews came away at at around 4am.
