Overnight incidents 27/28 January 2022

Dearne firefighters were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 7:25pm on Doncaster Road, High Melton, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 7:45pm.

A car was accidentally on fire at 8:15pm on Park Road, Worsbrough, Barnsley. Firefighters from Barnsley station were called out to the incident. They left at 8:45pm.

Two vans were deliberate set on fire at 10:05pm on Bentley Moor Lane, Carcroft, Doncaster. Firefighters from Adwick station attended the incident. They came away at 11pm.

Three fire crews from Lowedges and Central stations were called out to a flat fire at 10:35pm on Gresley Road, Sheffield. The occupant was already out of the property when crews arrived and the fire was out, however the flat did have a lot of smoke inside and four cats were still in the flat.  Firefighters located the cats, sadly two had died. The fire is believed to have started accidentally at the toaster. The crews left the scene at 11:45pm.
