Overnight incidents 5/6 December

Three fire engines were called to a fire in a garden on Cliff View, Denaby Main, Doncaster at 7:25pm last night. Firefighters from Dearne, Edlington and Rotherham stations attended and found some old furniture on fire which was belived to have been started deliberately. Crews left at 7:55pm.

Just before 8pm last night, firefighters from Cudworth were called out to the Metrodome Leisure Centre on Queens Road, Barnsley where an industrail bin had been set on fire deliberately. The crew left the scene at 8:40pm.

At 8:30pm Edlington station went out to two mattresses on fire on wasteground. The firefighters used a hose reel to put the fire out before leaving at 8:55pm. This was a deliberate fire.

A van was set on fire at 11:25pm last night. Dearne station attended the incident on Rimington Road, Wombwell, Barnsley. Firefighters left the scene at 11:50pm.

Tankersley station were called out to a wheelie bin on fire at 12:15am on Hawshaw Lane, Hoyland, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew left at 12:25am.
