Firefighters from Central were called to Allen Street, Sheffield, at 7.38pm last night. Upon arrival they found somebody burning large amounts of household furniture, which was putting out a lot of smoke. This fire was extinguished by the crew who gave the occupier advice around burning things. They left the scene at 8.09pm.
Firefighters from Cudworth were called to Folly Way, Monk Bretton, at 8.02pm last night. Upon arrival they found some grass banking alight. This was dealt with by 8.24pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters from Doncaster were called to Carlton Road, Wheatley, at 8.46pm last night. Upon arrival they found a small amount of rubbish alight in an alley. This was dealt with by 9.03pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters from Thorne were called to Carr Side Lane, Hatfield, at 9.30pm last night. Upon arrival they found a load of fly tipped rubbish – ranging from wood to paint tins – well alight. The fire had been extinguished by 10.08pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters from Adwick were called to Beever Street, Goldthorpe, at midnight. Upon arrival they found two small bonfires on the rear of the address they had been called to. These were extinguished with buckets by 0.23am. This incident is thought to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters from Rotherham and Dearne were called to Brett Close, Rawmarsh, at 0.01am today. Upon arrival they found a smoke alarm sounding within a property. This was due to food being left on by an occupant who fell asleep. This fire was prevented from spreading by firefighters. They left the scene at 0.25am.
Firefighters from Edlington were called to to Nursery Lane, Lower Sprotbrough, at 1.29am today. Upon arrival they found a small tree that was on fire, having been deliberately set alight. The crew left the scene at 1.52am.
Firefighters from Parkway were called to Beaver Hill Road, Sheffield, at 5.05am today. Upon arrival they found a van well alight. Most of the damage was limited to the drivers bay and engine compartment. This incident is thought to have been started deliberately. It was dealt with by 5.50am.
