Overnight incidents 7/8 April

Firefighters from Maltby and Aston Park were called to a fire on Oldcotes Road, Dinnington, at 7.18pm last night. Upon arrival they found a caravan well alight in a car park. It is thought this had been started deliberately and was dealt with by 8.32pm.

Firefighters from Parkway discovered a fire on Canklow Road, Canklow, as they drove back from another incident, at 7.31pm last night. The incident was on the corner of Centenary Way and involved some rubbish and trees in a small wooded area. It is thought this had been started deliberately and was dealt with by 7.50pm.

Firefighters from Elm Lane were called to a fire on Musgrave Road, Sheffield, at 7.42pm last night. Upon arrival they found a large grassland fire that had been started, deliberately, in different areas. The incident had been dealt with by 8.32pm.

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to a fire at a service station on Bawtry Road, Brinsworth, at 8.53pm last night. Upon arrival they found a large load of fly tipped rubbish well alight. The fire is thought to have been started deliberately and they left the scene at 9.10pm.

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to a fire on Canklow Road, Canklow at 9.05pm last night. This was another incident in a similar spot, on the corner of Centenary Way, and involved grassland. This is thought to have been started deliberately and the police were asked to patrol the area to stop further incidents. The crew left the scene at around 9.33pm.

Firefighters from Elm Lane were called to a fire on Fort Hill Road, Sheffield, at 10.48pm last night. Upon arrival they found a scrap wood fire that had been left unattended in an oil drum, to the rear of a property. This had been extinguished by 11.07pm.
