Overnight incidents 8/9 May 2022

A commercial wheelie bin was deliberately set on fire at 7:05pm on Hunningley Lane, Stairfoot, Barnsley. Firefighters from Barnsley station attended the incident. They left at 7:45pm.

Thorne firefighters were called out to a deliberate fire involving bushes at 8:05pm on Marlborough Road, Thorne, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 8:20pm.

Firefighters from Barnsley station attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 8:05pm on Hunningley Lane, Stairfoot, Barnsley. The crew came away at 8:35pm.

Stocksbridge firefighters were called out to an accidental fire involving bushes at 8:45pm on Lee Avenue, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 9:10pm.

Two fire crews from Barnsley and Cudworth stations attended a fire in a derelict building at 8:55pm on Broom Close, Kendray, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crews came away at 9:20pm.

Firefighters from Thorne station were called out to an accidental rubbish fire at 9:30pm on Station Road, Dunscroft, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 10pm.

Rotherham firefighters attended a deliberate fire involving furniture and rubbish at 9:45pm on Goosebutt Street, Parkgate, Rotherham. The crew came away at 10:05pm.

Three fire crews from Central, Rivelin and Parkway stations were called out at 10:55pm to the University of Sheffield on Broad Lane, Sheffield. There was an accidental fire in one of the machines in the laundrette. All persons were already evacuated before crews arrived. The crews left the scene at 11:55pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 1:45am on John Street, Great Houghton, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 2:50am.

Adwick firefighters were called out to a deliberate van fire at 3:15am on Shaftholme Road, Arksey, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 4:20am.
