A large amount of waste recycling is on fire at an industrial premise on Derwent Way in Rotherham.

Four fire crews from Dearne, Cudworth, Barnsley and Rotherham stations were called at 1:15am on Thursday morning.

Firefighters are working hard to tackle the blaze.

There is a large smoke plume in the area and people are being advised keep their doors and windows closed.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and a fire investigation will take place once the fire it completely out.
