Friday 11 July
Edlington fire crews were called at 6:48pm to Church Rein Woodland, Doncaster to reports of a motorbike on fire. Firefighters used buckets to put out the fire and left the scene at 7:24pm. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
Crews from Tankersley fire station were called to a vehicle fire on the M1 at 7:18pm. Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames. They left the scene at 7:54pm.
Saturday 12 July
Elm Lane firefighters attended a vehicle fire at 3:19am on West Quadrant, Sheffield. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and left the scene at 3:50am.
Barnsley, Dearne and Adwick firefighters attended a field fire at 2:10pm on Ingsfield Lane, Dearne. Crews used three hose reel jets and fire beaters to tackle the flames. They left the scene at 5:01pm.
Barnsley and Adwick firefighters were called at 4:36pm to reports of a garden fire on George Street, Barnsley. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish a bonfire that had been left unattended. They left the scene at 5:50pm.
Crews from Central, Rivelin and Elm Lane stations were called at 4:43pm to a fire on Pollard Crescent, Sheffield. On arrival the rear garden of a property was well alight. Crews used one hose reel jet to fight the flames. The fire is believed to have started from the sun reflecting off a glass garden ornament. Crews left the scene at 7:31pm.
Sunday 13 July
Firefighters from Cudworth station were called at 12:01am to reports of a fire on Grange Road, Barnsley. On arrival crews found one electricity pylon on fire and used a dry powder extinguisher to put out the flames. The fire is believed to have started from a power surge. Crews left the scene at 12:41am.
Edlington firefighters were called to a remote bonfire on Mallard Close, Balby at 3:53pm. Crews used two wildfire knapsacks to put out the flames and left the scene at 4:23pm.
