Weekend incidents 22 to 24 November

Firefighters from Central fire station dealt with a car fire on Tillotson Road in Sheffield just after 3.30am on Saturday. The Citroen Picasso was torched deliberately.

A car caught fire accidentally on Penistone Road in Sheffield just before 11am on Saturday. Firefighters used a hose reel to put it out.

Fire engines from Parkway, Rotherham and Rivelin dealt with a fire at an industrial unit on Europa Court, Sheffield at around 4.15pm. The blaze was caused by a faulty light fitting and molten plastic dripped onto some cardboard. The premises was heavily smoke logged.

Dearne, Rotherham and Cudworth firefighters used dry powder to put out a fire at a warehouse of Brookfields Way, Wath at around 11.30pm on Saturday. The fire started accidentally and involved an external pump house.

A quad bike was found alight on Laithes Lane, Athersley South in Barnsley around 3pm on Sunday. It was dealt with by Cudworth firefighters and it’s thought the fire was started deliberately.

A pile of rubbish was set alight in the first floor front room on a vacant house on Warmsworth Road, Balby in Doncaster. Crews from Doncaster and Edlington fire stations responded at around 2.30pm on Sunday.
