Weekend incidents 29 Nov/1 Dec

At 7:40pm (Fri) Maltby station were called to Lansbury Avenue, Maltby, Rotherham. A vehicle was well alight, crews used a hose reel to put the fire out before leaving at 8:10pm.  It was a deliberate fire.

Three fire engines from Elm Lane and Central stations were called at 00:25am (Sat) to Bolsover Road, Sheffield. A microwave was involved in a fire in a kitchen area. This was an accidental fire and the crews left at 1:45am

Crews attended a premise fire at 1:45am Saturday morning. Three fire engines from Rivelin and Central stations attended the incident. This was a house fire where sadly a man died. Crews left the scene at 3:35am.

At 4:45am (Sat) a fire crew from Adwick station went out to a deliberate fire at Great North Road, Woodlands, Doncaster. A wooden lean to shelter was on fire. Firefighters left at 5:10am.

A car was on fire at 4:50pm (Sat) on Queens Gardens, Hoyland Common, Barnsley. Tankersley station attended the fire which is believed to have started accidentaly. The crew left at 5:05pm.

Wooden pallets were deliberately set on fire near Dinnington bus station, Rotherham at 7:40pm (Sat). Firefighters from Aston station attended the incident and used a hose reel to put the fire out before leaving the scene at 8pm.

A motorbike was on fire at 1:50pm (Sun) on Burnsall Grove, Kendray, Barnsley. Cudworth station attended. They left the scene at 2:05pm. The fire is thought to have been started deliberately.

At 3pm on Sunday afternoon Central station were called out to a car fire which was set on fire accidentaly at Daresbury View, Sheffield. Crews left at 3:35pm.
