Two fire engines attended a house fire on Zetland Road, Doncaster after a call was received at 9.36pm. The fire was located in the kitchen and was caused by a plastic container falling onto hob. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 10pm.
Saturday
One fire engine attended a fire involving a food van trailer on Olive Grove Road, Sheffield after a call was received 12.31am. Crews used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and stop and spread to a nearby building. After the fire was extinguished, firefighters used a ventilation fan to clear smoke which had entered the nearby building. The incident had been dealt with by 1.43am.
A fire engine attended a fire involving four cars that had been deliberately set on fire on Doncaster Road, Barnsley. The fire had also spread to a pile of plastic windows and shipping container containing windows and wood. The call was received at 12.55am. Two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been set deliberately. The incident had been dealt with by 1.50am.
Five fire engines attended a a shop on the Great North Road, Woodlands, Doncaster after a call was received at 12.56am. The fire is believed to have originated in a fridge at the front of the store. Firefighters gained access by cutting through roller shutter doors on the building. Three hose reels were used to extinguish the fire. Neighbouring flats were evacuated by fire crews and South Yorkshire Police. The incident had been dealt with by 3.05am.
One fire engine attended a house fire on Fairthorn Road, Sheffield after a call was received at 11.45am. The fire was located in the kitchen and involved food, oil and baking pare in the microwave. A ventilation fan was used to clear the house of smoke and crews came away at 12.06pm.
One fire crew attended a shed fire on Saltersbrook Road, Darfield, Barnsley after a call was received at 1.12pm. The shed was fully involved in fire and had spread to a neighbors fence and shed. Two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been caused accidentally. The incident had been dealt with by 2.09pm.
Three fire engines attended a house fire on Rotherwood Crescent, Thurcroft, Rotherham after a call was received at 8.09pm. The fire was located in the bedroom and caused by a faulty heatpad in a pet cage. The fire had spread to the set of drawers and carpet the cage was on. The fire was extinguished using a hose reel and the incident had been dealt with by 9.03pm.
