The wildfire is now contained, however there are hot spots in the peat.

More fire crews will be attending the incident to help tackle the hot spots.

Firefighters are still at the wildfire on Lady Canning’s Plantation, Sheffield.

Three fire crews and two Polaris are at the scene, along with Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service.

Firefighters were called out to a wildfire near Lady Canning’s Plantation, Sheffield at around 9:30pm on Tuesday night (30.05.23).

We received a large number of calls into our Control about the incident.

Please avoid the area if possible and allow our crews to do their job.
