Weekend incidents 10 to 12 January

Aston Park firefighters spent around half an hour tackling a car fire off Leys Lane, Dinnington around 10pm  on Friday (10 January). The Audi was set fire to deliberately.

A fire at an empty ground floor flat on Nether Hall Road in Doncaster at 10.30pm on Friday was started by a faulty electricity metre. Edlington and Doncaster crews spent more than an hour resolving the incident.

A VW Golf was torched on Jubilee Road in Sheffield around 11.15pm on Friday. Parkway fire station dealt with the incident.

A dishwasher ignited at a house on Bowman Road in Sheffield around 9.15am on Saturday. Birley Moor, Parkway and Lowedges firefighters dealt with the incident for about 50 minutes.

A small amount of rubbish was set alight in the doorway of some student flats on Paradise Street in Sheffield around 4.30pm on Saturday. Central firefighters quickly dealt with the incident.

Elm Lane firefighters put out a fire involving a shed on Shirehill Crescent in Sheffield at around 11.30pm on Saturday. It was probably started deliberately.

Rotherham firefighters dealt with a car fire on Grove Road in the town around 4.45am on Sunday. They spent about 45 minutes resolving the incident, with the fire also causing heat damage to the front of a garage near where the car was parked.

Elm Lane and Tankersley firefighters dealt with a fire at a derelict house on North Hill Road in Sheffield. The fire started when a bin was set alight, spreading to the kitchen of the property. It all happened around 3.30pm on Sunday.
