Weekend incidents 24/26 September

A car was deliberately set on fire at 10:25pm (Friday) on Clover Gardens, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane station were called to the incident. They left at 10:55pm.

Parkway firefighters were called out to a shed fire at 10:40pm (Friday) on Badger Road, Sheffield. It was an accidental fire which had spread from a chimnea. The fire crew left the scene at 11:30pm.

Firefighters from Thorne station attended a deliberate car fire at 2am (Saturday) on High Levels Bank, Thorne, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 3am.

Two vehicles in a back garden were deliberately set on fire at 2:40am (Saturday) on Staveley Street, Edlington, Doncaster. The fire crew from Edlington station came away at 4am.

Elm Lane firefighters were called out to a rubbish fire at 4:15am (Saturday) on Longley Hall Rise, Sheffield. The crews left the scene at 5:25am.

A Fiat 500 car was deliberately set on fire at 5:25am (Saturday) on Paper Mill Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane station were called to the incident. They left at 6:05am.

Two fire crews from Cudworth and Barnsley station were called out to a JCB on fire at 6:10am (Saturday) on Lund Hill Lane, Royston, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crews left the scene at 7am.

Rotherham firefighters attended a deliberate car fire in a field at 6:20am (Saturday) on Denaby Lane, Old Denaby, Doncaster. The crew came away at 6:50am.

A combine harvester was accidentally on fire at 4pm (Saturday) on Willow Bridge Lane, Braithwaite, Doncaster. Firefighters from Thorne and Doncaster station attended the incident. They left the scene at 6:10pm.

Aston and Maltby firefighters were called out to a fire involving fencing and a shed at 6:55pm (Saturday) on Borrowdale Crescent, North Anston, Rotherham. The fire was accidental due to a patio heater. The crews left the scene at 7:40pm.

Five fire crews from Edlington, Parkway, Maltby, Rivelin and Aston stations were called out at 7:35pm (Saturday) to Maltby Academy on Braithwell Road, Maltby, Rotherham. The fire was in a disused part of the school. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crews left the scene at 11:55pm.

Two fire crews from Central and Penistone stations were called out to a detached garage fire at 9:50pm (Saturday) on Arbourthorne Road, Sheffield.  The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Crews left the scene at 10:45pm.

Firefighters from Edlington and Doncaster stations attended a premise fire at 2:35pm (Sunday) on Oswin Avenue, Balby, Doncaster. The fire started accidentally in the kitchen due to a motorbike engine being worked on.  One man suffered slight burns. The crews left the scene at 4:35pm.
