Crews from Elm Lane and Central were called to an incident at a house on Ellesmere Road North in Sheffield on Tuesday 23 January at 03:21am.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the kitchen of the property well alight. Using breathing apparatus and hose reels, crews entered the property and were able to extinguish the fire.

Two occupants were rescued from the property via ladders.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.

Firefighters began to leave the scene at 04:48am.
