Overnight incidents 13/14 April

Firefighters from Lowedges were called to a fire on Cawthorne Close, Sheffield, at 8.04pm. Upon arrival they found a garden fire with plastics and other materials being burnt. This was extinguished by the crew who reminded the occupier that we are advising people to NOT have such fires during the current crisis. They left the scene at 8.30pm.

Firefighters from Edlington were called to a fire on Tickhill Back Lane, Stainton, at 8.11pm. Upon arrival they found a small bag of household rubbish well alight, which was swiftly extinguished. They left the scene at 8.27pm and it is thought this fire was started deliberately.

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to a fire on Cornish Way, Parkgate, Rotherham, at 9.53pm. This involved a fridge that had been set alight deliberately. It had been dealt with by 10.10pm.

Firefighters from Maltby were called to a woodland fire off Blyth Road, Maltby, at 10.04pm. Upon arrival they found a section of wood and grassland on fire. This is thought to have been started deliberately and was dealt with 10.30pm.
