Overnight incidents 13/14 June 2023

Adwick firefighters were called out to a deliberate bin fire at 7:10pm on School Street, Thurnscoe, Barnsley. The crew left the scene at 7:30pm.

Firefighters from Maltby station attended an accidental fire involving conifers at 7:30pm on Hawthorne Avenue, Maltby, Rotherham. The crew came away at 8:40pm.

A fire crew from Rotherham station attended a deliberate grassland fire on Droppingwell Road, Kimberworth, Rotherham at 7:40pm. The crew left the scene at 9:20pm.

Dearne firefighthers were called out to a deliberate grassland fire at 7:45pm on Broadwater, Bolton Upon Dearne, Barnsley. The crew came away at 8:35pm.

Firefighters from Cudworth station attended a deliberate fire involving grassland at 8:05pm on Bradbury Balk Lane, Wombwell, Barnsley. The crew left the scene at 9:40pm.

Central firefighters were called out to a deliberate grass fire at 8:45pm on Gleadless Road, Sheffield. The crew came away at 9:15pm.

A fence was accidentally on fire at 8:55pm on Hepworth Drive, Aston, Rotherham. Firefighters from Aston station attended the incident. They left at 9:15pm.

Three fire crews from Central and Parkway stations were called out to a flat fire at 9:25pm on Deer Park Road, Sheffield. One casualty was rescued by firefighters. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. There were a further two casualties who suffered from slight smoke inhalation. The casualty rescued went to hospital. The crews left the scene at 11pm.

Two wheelie bins were deliberately set on fire at 10:05pm on Denison Road, Hexthorpe, Doncaster. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left at 10:40pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 10:05pm on Carrill Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane station attended the incident. They left at 10:45pm.

Firefighters from Central station attended a deliberate fire involving tyres and pallets at 1:05am on Ripon Street, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 1:20am.

Doncaster firefighters were called out to a tree which had been deliberately set on fire at 1:40am on Town Moor Avenue, Town Fields, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 1:50am.

Three fire crews from Elm Lane, Rivelin and Central stations attended a caravan fire at 3:30am on Gregg House Road, Sheffield. The fire also spread to a car and the front of a house. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 5:35am.
