Two fire engines are parked up on an area of farm land, on a hill. The weather is dull and it appears to be in the late evening. Two firefighters can be seen in the distance, walking between the two fire engines.

Overnight incidents – 4/5 November

Firefighters from Central were called to Manor Lane, Sheffield, at 7.57pm. Upon arrival they found a small amount of bushes on fire at the side of the road. This was dealt with by 8.15pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to Market Laughton Road, Dinnington, at 8.53pm. Upon arrival they found a commercial sized wheelie bin alight. This was dealt with by 9.32pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Thorne were called to a piece of land near the Thorne North Railway Station, Thorne, at 9.33pm. Upon arrival they found a large amount of mixed waste well alight. This was a bonfire that had grown out of control. It was extinguished by 10.16pm.

Firefighters from Edlington and Doncaster were called to St Catherines Avenue, Balby, at 9.54pm. Upon arrival they found a smoke logged house, but no fire. This had occurred due to a candle setting fire to a table cloth. This was smothered by the occupier in time to stop the fire, but not the smoke. Crews left the scene at 10.09pm.

Firefighters from Dearne were called to Keble Martin Way, Wath-Upon-Dearne, at 9.55pm. Upon arrival they found a pile of rubbish well alight, to the rear of a shop. This was dealt with by 10.11pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Central were called to Spotswood Road, Sheffield, at 11.44pm. Upon arrival they found a wheelie bin alight. This was dealt with by 0.04am and is thought to have been started deliberately.
