Smoke alarms smell something burning

Over the weekend we attended five separate cooking related incidents.

At 10:17pm on Friday, crews from Rotherham attended an incident on Clifton Lane, Clifton. On arrival, they found a pan on the hob had caused smoke logging throughout. Luckily the resident had working smoke alarms fitted, which had sounded and allowed them to get out of the property safely.

At 12:09am on Saturday, crews from Lowedges, Central and Birley Moor attended an incident on Lowedges Crescent, Sheffield. On arrival they found a tea towel had smouldered on the hob, which was quickly extinguished. There were no casualties.

At 1:43am on Saturday, crews from Central and Rivelin attended an incident on Creswick Street, Sheffield. On arrival, they found some food had been burnt on the hob, activating the smoke alarms. There were no casualties.

At 1:18pm on Sunday, crews from Parkway attended an incident on Fitzhubert Road, Sheffield. On arrival, they found some burnt food on the hob had caused smoke logging to the property. Thankfully the smoke alarms had activated and the resident was able to get out of the property safely, suffering minor smoke inhalation.

At 3:13am on Monday, crews from Doncaster attended an incident on Troutbeck Way, New Rossington. On arrival, they found some food had burnt in the oven resulting in heavy smoke logging throughout the property. There were no casualties.
