Ten fire engines tackled a blaze at a recycling site in Doncaster on Friday (22 April).
The fire on Balby Carr Bank broke out shortly before 7pm.
The fire service’s attendance was reduced to two fire engines by Saturday morning, but local people are still being asked to avoid the area and to keep their windows and doors closed.
An investigation into the cause of the fire will begin once the fire has been fully extinguished.
South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue has worked alongside partner agencies including Nottingham and West Yorkshire fire and rescue services and the Environment Agency in its response to the incident.
