Weekend incidents 15/17 July 2022

Saturday 16 July

Dearne firefighters were called out to an accidental fire involving a corn field at 3pm on Barnburgh Lane, Goldthorpe, Barnsley. The crew left the scene at 3:55pm.

Several fire crews attended a derelict building fire at 10:35pm on Bridgegate in Rotherham Town Centre. The fire also spread to a gym next door. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Crews left the scene at 2:05pm.

A vehicle was deliberately set on fire at 11:40pm on Lesley Road, Goldthorpe, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 12:40am.

Sunday 17 July 2022

Tankersley firefighters were called out to a detached garage on fire at 2:05am on Sough Hall Road, Thorpe Hesley, Rotherham. The fire is believed to have been started accidentally. The crew came away at 2:40am.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 3:10am on Fox Hill Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Rivelin station attended the incident. They left at 4:45am.

Firefighters from Tankersley station attended a deliberate fire involving pallets and a shed at 9:35am on Greaves Lane, High Green, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 10:10am.

Three fire crews from Thorne and Doncaster stations were called out to a premise on Carlton Road, Wheatley, Doncaster at 12:20pm. The accidental fire involved cooking. The crews came away at 1pm.
