Weekend incidents 8/10 July 2022

Friday 8 July

Edlington firefighters were called out to two sheds on fire at 7:45pm on Main Street, Sprotbrough, Doncaster. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. The crew left the scene at 9:20pm.

Saturday 9 July

Three fire crews from Cudworth, Barnsley and Tankersley stations attended a shed fire which had spread to a premise at 12:35am on Poplar Terrace, Royston, Barnsley. The fire had started accidentally. The crews came away at 3:10am.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 3:10am on King Street, Hoyland, Barnsley. Firefighters from Tankersley station attended the incident. They left at 3:40am.

Firefighters from Parkway station attended an accidental fire at a premise on Fairfax Drive, Sheffield at 11:40am were a tumble dryer was on fire. The crew left the scene at 12:20pm.

Two fire crews from Barnsley and Rivelin stations were called out to a derelict building fire at 3:05pm on Exchange Street, Sheffield. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 3:50pm.

Elm Lane firefighters attended a deliberate woodland fire at 5:15pm on Scholes Lane, Scholes, Rotherham. The crew came away at 6:25pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 11:30pm on Strawberry Avenue, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane station attended the incident. They left at 11:55pm.

Sunday 10 July

Firefighters from five stations were called out to an industrial premise on Clay Wheels Lane, Sheffield at 8:20am. Cylinders were inside the premise and one exploded. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. Firefighters left the scene at 4pm.
