Weekend incidents 9/11 February 2024

Saturday 10 February

Rotherham firefighters were called out to a fire at a premise on Marlowe Drive, Herringthorpe, Rotherham at 4am. The accidental fire was in the porch area. Crews left the scene at 4:50am.

Firefighters from Elm Lane, Rivelin, Central and Parkway stations attended an accidental premise fire at 9am on Bellhouse Road, Sheffield. Crews came away at 11:35am.

Elm Lane firefighters were called out to a shed and wheelie bins on fire at 4:15pm on Pollard Crescent, Sheffield. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. The crew left the scene at 4:40pm.

Sunday 11 February

A vehicle was accidentally on fire at 3am on Greasbrough Road, Northfield, Rotherham. Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident. They left at 3:35am.

Three fire crews from Deane, Edlington and Maltby stations attended a deliberate fire at a vacant premise on Alvaston Walk, Denaby Main, Doncaster at 4pm. The crews left the scene at 4:50pm.

Several fire crews from Doncaster, Edlington, Adwick, Thorne, Maltby and Lowedges attended a fire at a derelict school on Lower Leger Way, Intake, Doncaster at 5:40pm. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 9:50pm.
