A family of four have escaped from a fire at their home at 11:30pm on Wednesday night.

Four fire crews from Central and Birley Moor stations were called to the semi-detached house on Framlingham Place in Sheffield.

The occupants had already escaped through a window when the crews arrived.

The fire was on the ground floor of the property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to put the fire out.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will now take place.
