Overnight incidents 10/11 May 2021

At 09:41pm last night (Monday 10 May), crews from Cudworth were called to a small vehicle fire on Rotherham Road in Cundy Cross, Barnsley. One Ford Fiesta was involved in the fire, which was believed to have been set alight deliberately. Crews left at 10:13pm.

A Ford Transit van had also been set alight last night at 10pm on Chippingham Street in Sheffield. One crew from Parkway attended and left the scene at 10:18pm deeming the fire to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters were called to a small vehicle fire on Rushy Moor Lane in Askern at 01:17am this morning (11 May). Crews from Askern attended to find one car well alight. They left the scene at 02:00am and deemed the fire to have started deliberately.

Crews were called to a domestic house fire on Sopewell Road in Kimberworth at 02:29am this morning. This was a single seat of fire on the bed in the bedroom.  No persons were inside the property. Crews from Parkway, Rotherham and Elm Lane attended. Crews left at 04:12am deeming the fire to have started accidentally.

A bus shelter had been set alight on Midland Road in Masbrough at 03:45am this morning. A crew from Birley Moor attended and left the scene at 04:04am. It had been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Dearne were called to a fire on Hill Top Road in Denaby Main at 04:46am. A small amount of mixed waste was involved. Crews left at 05:16am and deemed the fire to have been started deliberately.
