Two fire engines from Barnsley and Tankersley station were called out to a car fire at 2:05am on the M1 southbound between J38 and J37. The cause of the fire is unknown. Crews left at 3am.

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended a vehicle fire on Badsley Moor Lane, Herringthorpe, Rotherham at 4:40am this morning. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew left the scene at 5:05am.

A wheelie bin was deliberately set on fire at 4:45am on Honeywell Street, Barnsley. Firefighters from Barnsley station attended the incident. They left the scene at 5:15am.
