Overnight incidents – 25/26 May

Crews from Doncaster and Edlington were called at 5.30pm to a fire inside a small garage used for cleaning products on Carr Grange Works industrial estate. The fire was caused by an over heated plug/cable which had ignited a couple of cardboard boxes. The occupier used a garden hose to tackle the fire before firefighters arrived. Once on scene, they used  breathing apparatus and one hosereel to extinguish the fire. They left the incident at 6.11pm

Crews from Edlington and Maltby were called at 7.30pm to reports of a fire in a derelict house on Edlington Lane, Edlington, Doncaster. An old floor carpet had been set on fire in the front 1st floor bedroom. One hosereel was used to extinguish  the fire and a ventilation fan used to clear the smoke. Firefighters had left the scene by 8.11pm.
