Weekend incidents 1/2/3 May 2020

A VW Gold was set alight on Jedburgh Drive in Sheffield on Friday night at around 9.15pm. Elm Lane firefighters responded.

Central and Parkway firefighters spent more than an hour tackling a blaze at a construction and demolition recycling site on Cement Street in Sheffield. A pile of waste materials around 10 metres by 10 metres in size ignited at around 11.45pm on Friday. Firefighters left the scene just after 1am. It’s thought the fire started accidentally.

A fire in a skip on Kirk Cross Crescent, Royston spread to the outside of a nearby house. It’s thought the blaze, which broke out at around 5.45pm on Saturday and was tackled by Cudworth and Barnsley firefighters was started deliberately.

Clothes stored on top of a boiler ignited at a property on Newington Road, Newington at around 9pm on Saturday. Doncaster firefighters attended the incident and were on the scene for around an hour.

A car was set alight on a driveway on Victoria Court in Bentley at around 00.30 on Sunday. Firefighters from Adwick and Doncaster fire stations tackled the incident.
